Meet Evan, a Garment Technician for our sister brand, Laudae :
What do you do at Laudae?
I am a garment technician and just recently started doing product development for Laudae.
Why did you want to work for Laudae?
I was ready in my career path to jump into something. I have skills in sewing and production but I never actually had a proper job in the field. I felt it was time for me to make that move. When I saw the dresses and the atmosphere here, it felt right.
What do you do outside of work?
I am an avid television viewer. I like to read trade publications, like Business of Fashion and Women's Wear Daily. I have my own eponymous fashion line, Evan Ducharme, which I have been working on for the past three years.

Which is your favorite Laudae dress?
So far, it’s a toss up between Laurel and Templin. I am excited about the next collection. I definitely have a lot of favourites in there.
How would you style it?
I think Templin is a very graphic and modern dress. I’d style it very sleek with architectural slingbacks, a straight ponytail, and no veil. Let the dress do the talking.

What is your favorite eating spot in Vancouver?
Meet in Gastown, hands down. The gluten-free Mac n’ cheese.
Your drink of choice?
Whiskey sour. Meet does a really great whisky sour. They use the juice from chickpeas instead of egg whites, it froths the same way and tastes so good.
What are you listening to?
I am usually listening to Podcasts. I have a schedule of what I listen to everyday over a two-week span. Most of the time it’s Throwing Shade, or You Must Remember This. You Must Remember This is about the lost and forgotten stories of Hollywood's first century. I've always had a love for Old Hollywood. I like to keep my brain active while I’m sewing.
What are you binge watching?
I just did The Crown on Netflix. It was so good! I thought I was going to hate it but it’s like Downton Abbey in the 50’s.
