Truvelle is not responsible for customs and/or duties attached to your shipment. All US shipments fall under NAFTA and international shipments may be subject to additional costs. We advise looking into your country's specific import duties and taxes to ensure there are no surprises upon delivery.
Due to the nature of made-to-order production, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges of our wedding dress and/or social attire collections. Luckily, bridal alterations are commonly available in most major cities. Should you have any issue with your dress send us an email. Our experienced team is happy to offer tips and suggestions to help make your dress match your vision.
We accept returns of unworn, undamaged accessories within 7 days of product delivery. All returns will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. Kindly note that we do not refund return shipping costs.
Where are Truvelle gowns made? Each Truvelle gown is made in our Garment Studio in Vancouver, Canada.
How long does it take for a dress to be made? Our gowns are made-to-order and take between 4–6 months. We recommend purchasing your wedding gown 6–8 months before your wedding date to allow ample time for alterations.
Are you able to accommodate rush orders? We can accommodate rush orders up to 1 week. Please check the “Order Time” tab in a gowns’ listing for applicable rush order fees. For orders less than 5 weeks email us, [email protected]
How can I find out the status of my dress? If you are working with a boutique, we recommend checking in there as they will have a good idea when to expect your dress shipment. When you order with us online, we will provide an approximate shipment date. Feel free to email us at [email protected] if you have any questions along the way.
Can you create larger sizes? Our gowns run from size 0-26, with specific measurements found within the “Size & Fit” tab in a gowns’ listing. There is an extra fee for dresses above a size 16 due to the specialist sewing involved, extra material costs, customized patterns, and additional bodice boning to provide support. Have questions? How do I know what size I am? It’s pretty simple actually, to determine your correct size in a Truvelle gown you will need your bust and waist measurement. Your bust measurement can be obtained by wrapping a tape measure around the chest and over the nipples. You waist measurement can be obtained by measuring the smallest part of the torso.
I plan on losing weight/I’m pregnant what do I do? We recommend discussing with a bridal consultant before purchasing your gown. Ordering online? Simply send us an email, [email protected]
Where can I try on a Truvelle dress before purchasing? Truvelle has stockists worldwide, view our “Stockist” page to find the Truvelle-exclusive retailer nearest you.
How do I care for my dress post-wedding? We do not recommend dry-cleaning your dress as solvents can be damaging. The best method to care for your dress is to spot clean using a oxygen-based stain remover and and water. For specific cleaning questions or concerns, email us at [email protected]
Do I need an appointment to try on dresses? As long as we have an available change room, it is possible to try on gowns without an appointment at our Vancouver Flagship. However, an appointment will guarantee a change room & the assistance of a Truvelle stylist.
How long will my appointment be? Appointments run between 1-1.5 hours. Your first consultation is likely to take 1.5 hours, a second or third appointment should run under an hour.
How many people can I bring to my appointment? As many as you like. But keep in mind sometimes too many opinions can be overwhelming.
Are alterations included in the price of a dress? Alterations are not included in the price of a gown.
What should I bring to my appointment? We suggest you wear seamless undergarments and kindly ask that you wear light makeup to help keep our dresses clean. A strapless bra isn’t necessary as our dresses fit perfectly without!
How much will alterations cost? We suggest you budget $200-$500 for dress alterations.
Do you offer alterations? Yes, we offer alterations at our Mount Pleasant Garment Studio.
How long do alterations take? Alterations vary from bride to bride. We recommend leaving a 2 month window for alterations for ultimate peace of mind. Too late for that? No need to worry, our experienced tailors can work within most timeframes.
What should I bring to an alterations appointment? Bring your shoes and the undergarments you plan to wear with the dress as both will alter the fit and length of the dress. If you plan to wear bra cups or inserts please pre purchase and bring them to your fitting appointment.
