May 4, 2017 Miranda + Chris
Words from the bride, Miranda:
Emotionally overwhelming, exciting, and a whole new level of happy. I started the day at my parents house with my siblings. Despite the nerves, there was a calmness that I always feel when I'm with them, something I crave every time I visit from the UK. The blue sky and sunshine offered the perfect backdrop to our downtown rooftop wedding, and we were so impressed at how amazing everyone looked in black tie against the Toronto skyline. The floral accents gave the whole space a relaxed rustic feel and there was no shortage of 80s music after an incredible dinner. The speeches were heartfelt, personal, and hilarious. The whole day was elevated with the necklace and ring I wore that were given to me by my grandparents. It meant a lot having them with me all day.
I'll never forget the feeling of turning the corner to walk down the aisle and seeing so many important people in my life sitting all in one place. It was so overwhelming to know that people I've met from all stages of my life were able to help make the day that much more special. Also, having my older brother marry us in front of all our family and friends was something I'll never forget. It made the whole experience so much more personal and felt more like 'us'.
