Found - #MadeTru

#madetru is about taking you into our process — it's important to know where your clothes are made. And while we're at it, we're other like-minded makers, because a movement doesn't happen alone. Here are five independent makers we love who proudly share where and how their products are made.

Miranda Bennett Studio

These beauties make up the core team of Miranda Bennett Studio, a collection of seasonless, plant-dyed apparel manufactured by an all female team. Releasing two “Editions” yearly, these fab ladies have mastered the art of elevated everyday wear for conscious babes everywhere. We'll take one of everything!

Hackwith Design House

Like us, Hackwith Design House does everything under one roof. From marketing and meetings to sewing and shipping. Designs include modern basics like linen jumpsuits and easy-to-wear dresses, maker collaborations accessories, and yes, even swimwear. Primarily made-to-order means each Hackwith piece is literally made for you — don’t you feel special.

Olderbrother

This transparent, gender neutral clothing brand already has more than a few fans in the Truvelle office. Olderbrother creates hand-dyed elevated basics in sunny L.A using eco-conscious textiles. We love them for their straightforward approach and commitment to the clothing revolution.

Elizabeth Suzanne

“Making things the right way”, Elizabeth Suzanne — based in Nashville, TN — is making beautiful, long-lasting pieces while simultaneously educating consumers about realities of garment production. Liz, (as she prefers to be called) regularly pens blog posts that openly delve into topics normally considered taboo among brands, like pricing breakdowns and company growth. We’re taking notes!

Woodlot

Makers of our some of our most favourite candles, Woodlot, also happens to call Mount Pleasant home. Located just down the street from the Truvelle HQ, the duo behind Woodlot hand blends, mixes, and pours cleaning-burning, petroleum-free coconut waxes candles and body products. I mean, how much more local can you get?
