In 2013, in the living room of her apartment, Gaby Bayona founded Truvelle, a laid-back bridal line for romantic, effortless brides. What unfolded over the next ten years could best be described as serendipity, or kismet, in crepe, luxe, and satin. Since 2013, Gaby has led the design of several ethereal, whimsical collections, and grown our bridal community across Canada into something truly special. Today, we’re still (proudly) made in Vancouver, and we’re honoured to have helped so many lovely brides find their gown – because above all, we believe a bride should feel as good as she looks.
Tru StoryFor our founder Gaby, design has been a lifelong companion. She grew up helping out in her mum’s custom dress shop, playing a little part in the love stories of others as she and her mother sewed, stitched, and designed the perfect gown for every client that came through the doors. Seeing a gap in the bridal landscape, Gaby founded Truvelle to meet the needs of the modern bride – specifically, those who wanted something a little less traditional. Now, Truvelle employs more than 30 people and operates in a beautiful, light-filled 8,500 sq ft studio in East Vancouver. We work together under one roof to create gowns that go on to meet brides all over the world – but we’re still Vancouver, through and through.

Vancouver-made, always
Owing inspiration and a fresh take on the wedding industry to our beautiful city, we feel pretty lucky to be where we are today. In an industry where manufacturing is typically outsourced, we’re proud to create our dresses entirely in-house. That has become an important part of our identity and we’re committed to keeping it that way. Occupying an 8,500 sq ft building in East Vancouver, the Garment Studio is where each Truvelle piece is made – from first sketch to final stitch. We employ a team of talented individuals, from cutters and seamsters to designers and quality checkers to ensure each gown is manufactured to incredibly high standards – and with a lot of love, right here in Vancouver. Our dresses are handmade especially for you, by real people who love what they do. Because we know you care about how and where your dress is made.
