April 17, 2018 Staff Feature — Vincent
Meet head seamster Vincent. When not at work helping out his fellow garment technicians or hand sewing an Alexandra bodice, you can find Vince working as a stylist around Vancouver. Vince is our resident jokester, and we all know studio would certainly not be the same without his laugh, secret candy stash, and inspiring work ethic.
Can you describe your role at Truvelle?
I teach the Truvelle garment technicians how to sew and alter our gowns. I also sew dresses myself, and help work on the new design prototypes.
What does your typical day look like?
I come in early to get a head start on the day. I sew between 1-2.5 dresses a day. My day involves a lot of hand sewing.
What made you want to work at Truvelle
The environment — everyone is so chill.
What is your favourite Truvelle memory?
When everyone surprised me on my birthday.
Dress: the Julie, earrings: Disco Ball Earrings by Namata Jewelry, Shoes: Plexi Leather Pumps by Gianvito Rossi.

What is your favourite Truvelle gown and why?
The Julie, it's so romantic.
How would you style it?
I would style it with clear drop earrings, clear plexi pumps, and loose wavy hair.
When not sewing at Truvelle, you can be found working as a freelance stylist — how did you get your start in the field?
I used to design for my own, label Vincent Lee Collection, and had a model ask if I was interested styling her. It took off from there.
If you could work with any photographer or designer, who would it be?
Lachlan Bailey.
