March 1, 2018 Retailer Feature — Moondance Bridal
Meet Danielle, the superstar manager of Moondance bridal:
Story behind your boutique?
Our co-owner, Amanda, is the founder of Untamed Petals a bridal accessories company which has been in business for 9 years. Being in the bridal industry on the accessories side she was constantly being inspired by up-and-coming indie wedding dress designers. It was exciting to see the approach to buying a wedding dress change and evolve into a chance for brides to celebrate their personal style rather than feel they had to fit into a cookie-cutter mold.
With this exciting shift they saw an opportunity in their hometown, San Luis Obispo, which had become a very popular wedding destination over the past few years yet had no gown shops curated for the cool, West Coast bride. So, with Annette’s extensive retail experience and Amanda's bridal expertise, Moondance came to life in May 2016. The name “Moondance” was inspired by Van Morrison's epic love song and a connection to all things celestial.
The location?
Located in the historical railroad district of San Luis Obispo, Moondance is filled with natural light, exposed brick and tons of character. An inviting space with a unique mix of raw industrial fixtures, bold floral wallpaper and soft velvet couches. Having a yummy wholesome café and thai food restaurant right around the corner is a total plus!

Our BRIDES!! Every bride is unique and we love getting to know them on a personal level so we can help guide them towards finding "THE ONE". Comfort is key when it comes to bridal beauty - in our opinion a confident bride will be the most beautiful bride. Finding a dress that makes the bride feel like the best version of herself and gorgeous in her own skin is always the goal at Moondance. We feel pretty lucky to be a part of the process leading to their special day!
