September 14, 2017 Nancy + David
Words from the bride, Nancy:
We took the week leading up to the wedding off and planned a trip with a couple friends to backpack the glorious Yosemite wilderness for 4 days, 3 nights, a total of 25 miles. It forced us not to stress about wedding details last minute. What a wonderful (and brutal) time we had!
Our photographer, Sebastien, came on Thursday to do a pre-wedding photo shoot in the Yosemite valley. We hiked up to Taft Point for sunset with our wedding attire in our packs. We changed in the woods, I kept my Danner boots on for the rest of the hike. The mosquitos were ruthless — I left with huge bites all over my back, but I'd say it was well worth it!
There were so many happy tears. David surprised me and read me a love letter at Taft point at sunset. I cried when I walked down the aisle and saw all my friends and family together. Then I cried, A LOT, during the last song on the dance floor. The band decided to play Don't Stop Believing by Journey, which of course EVERYONE sang along holding each other in a huge circle. I wished that night would never end.
Needless to say, it was perfect. And I had so, so much fun!
