Jessica + Jake

Jake and I first met around 5 years ago. We became friends until we then started dating a few years later and from that point our romance turned into love.

Jake proposed to me on Dream Beach located on Nusa Lembongan Island in Bali. We were about to go on a swim in the ocean and then he got down on one knee. It was the most beautiful and happy moment which I will look back on for years to come.

For us getting married meant celebrating our love with the people in our lives that we love and cherish. We envisioned our wedding day to have a relaxed/bohemian vibe, so our guests could enjoy some drinks and live music in the sunshine and party into the night.  

I got ready in a beautiful beach house in Mangawhai Heads with my Bridesmaids and Mum. I fell in love with the Abbott dress as soon as I saw it in the boutique, it was perfect and made me feel beautiful and comfortable all day long.

We decided to do a first look and wedding photographs before our ceremony, this way we could spend more time with our guests after our ceremony which was lovely. Jake and I love nature and being outdoors, so we chose to have our wedding photographs taken at one of our favourite New Zealand beaches.      

We chose Te Whai Bay Vineyard for our ceremony and reception venue which is a truly beautiful spot surrounded by rolling hills.

One of my favourite memories of the day is when Jake and I snuck away from the reception to have some sunset photographs taken, it was nice to take the time out from the busy day to reflect on how amazing our day had been.

Our wedding day was truly the best day ever!
