Inspiration For a Mediterranean Wedding

If a Mediterranean wedding is on your mind (or your calendar!), you'll want to save this post for inspiration — and to send to your wedding photographer for portrait ideas!

During our travels through Syracuse in Italy's Sicily region, we found ourselves in Ortigia: a small island connected to the main city by bridges. Brimming with Baroque architecture, ancient Greek temples, and the beautiful stone citadel Castello Maniace, all set against the turquoise waters of the Ionian Sea, Ortigia feels like magic come to life.

It's here that we paused to take some photos, setting our romantic gowns against sandy stone walls and ancient weathered doorways. In the warmth of the Sicilian sun, this setting becomes the ultimate inspiration for bridal portraits.
